The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. (Deuteronomy 28: 7). Let’s evaluate this promise of God to Israel. The 1949 and 1967 wars were fought against the Arab League made up of seven countries: Egypt, Transjordan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Saudia Arabia, and Yemen. In both wars Israel was victorious, in the six days war it was an overwhelming victory. The defeated nations did flee in seven directions, as God promised.
The overriding issue is not the credibility of God’s word, but the condition of the promise – “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.” (Deuteronomy 28: 1). I looked, there are no exceptions in the law, the conditions for blessings and curses is fixed and certain. No one will be made righteous by the law, but there is yet a way of righteousness – atonement. It is by grace we are saved. Believers in Yeshua know this and that He saved us while we were yet sinners. (Rom. 5: 8, 10). If the Lord died for the unrighteous, how can we deny the Messiah’s saving grace from His own people? Did we receive the Lord before or after He revealed Himself to us? Did He open our eyes with enlightenment so that we could accept Him or did we choose Him? (Eph. 1: 4). Grace and mercy came through Yeshua Messiah.
With all this knowledge of salvation, how is it that we deny the saving power of Yeshua’s blood to the Jews. God is not unjust or contrary to His word, all Israel will be saved. (Rom. 11: 26). Yeshua Messiah has fulfilled the Law, satisfying it requirements through blood atonement once for all. Israel has yet to fully accept her Messiah, but the work of salvation happened two thousand years ago. We wait for Israel’s acceptance of Yeshua, when He will reveal Himself to them and release faith in God’s promise. After years wandering in the wilderness, the time for Israel to enter into the promised land has begun. The physical comes before the spiritual. Israel is being regathered into the land as a nation again. The promises of the goodness in the land are being released upon Israel in the natural. Israel is becoming a fertile land exporting food and energy from recently discovered natural gas reserves. The Spiritual promises are on the horizon when Yeshua delivers a physical rescue of His People Israel from certain destruction. The Lord confirmed this in saying, “For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'” (Matt. 23: 39). “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.” (Zechariah 12: 10).
