Eternity Within

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” (Ecclesiastes 3: 11).

Inside each human is a vast unlimited arena. In this place without borders or limits, God has set an image of Himself. There are no physical laws that operate to limit and order it as in a spacial reality. It will not be filled to capacity, though it can contain many things, or become cluttered or barren. This place is alive and it is not entirely controlled or occupied by one, if it becomes so, it becomes total blackness, as death. There is light in this place because infinity is the dwelling place of light.

Nevertheless, this place is created by the creator of all, Father God, King Yeshua Messiah, Holy Spirit. Some declare it does not exist, but is merely a fairytale, fiction and dream as there is no proof, no evidence which can be dissected, handled and seen. There is the witness of other people and there is the knowledge of God seen in Creation. Yet, it is a place of visions, revelation, glories beyond description a world where all things are possible. It is full of sound, music, silent serenity, and more. It exists transcendent where the Spirit flows in and out, apart from the temporal fixed and finite universe.

This is not your mind where a seemingly endless stream of thoughts pour forth or swirl around twisting with tension. The mind is limited and serves more as a translator to our conscious self. It may seem endless, but is truly no more endless than a circle which travels the same path over and over, even in figure eights or with elaborate looping designs that always ultimately come back to where they started. Moreover, the mind uses what is input through the senses, modifying, building, and dissecting, but never truly creating anything unique.

It is the heart, our innermost being that bears the image of eternity. The heart is where love resides with sin and fear in our broken state. It has been said, “Within every person there is a God shaped hole that only He can fill.” With all that unlimited, God bestowed power, potential, ability, and the knowledge of good and evil, we fell under a delusion – our self-consciousness enables independence. In that instance of self-awareness we were lost and could not return or find a way back to God, as though He was forgotten, His likeness, the sound of His voice, and most importantly, the sense of His Spirit presence.

God didn’t abandon us; we were not forgotten to Him. He sent Yeshua, Messiah to restore us to Himself, by giving us the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives in our innermost being, the eternal place within, where we have a relationship with Father God. His eternal presence fills the void that had become corrupted and despairing by the self without God. “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” (1 John 4:10) Yeshua is the point of return, the door and gate which leads to eternal life. Will you, have you surrendered your heart to Him and let Him restore the eternal within?
