Loves Measure

I was thinking about some of the people whom I love dearly and I prayed to Yeshua that He would bless and protect these loved ones. Then the Spirit remined me of a scripture, “…so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” ( Ephesians 3:17-19) The expansive boundaries of love, the fullness of God, the love of Christ, love that exceeds knowledge, these are love’s reach. It brings great comfort and exceeding joy to my heart to know that His love is wide, long, high, and deep enough to fully cover my love ones.

Some family members may be estranged from us and through the enemy’s lies, deceit, and barriers they are physically and/or emotionally separated from us, but there are no barriers that love cannot pierce or breach. Paul observed, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39) We may tend to think of this in terms of God’s love for us, and it is, but just as His love reaches us, so it reaches others.

Ask the Lord to bring to mind those whom you love and ask again that He would deliver a measure of His love to them. There is confidence, assurance, and great capacity in love. He is willing, able, and has said, “ask anything in my name and I will do it.” (John 14:14) You may be sure and confident that He will answer your request. “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10) This is the Lord’s purpose for coming; He will fulfill it and His love is able to reach the lost one. “Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.” (Psalm 36:5; 57:10; 108:4) Love never fails.
