An Answer

We see Secularists their aims and work; they cast dispersions on the Children of God with contempt, but Paul gives a response to those of this world about Believers. “Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.” (2 Corinthians 6:4-10) This is an apt answer to John Lennon’s, “Imagine” which paints a fictional peace on earth that would, based on actual history and fact, be a hellish unjust tyranny. There is only One who accurately described and demonstrated Peace on Earth, Yeshua Messiah, (Jesus  Hebrew name). He is the Son of God, who affirmed His deity through signs, wonders, fulfillment of prophecy and resurrection from the dead. His words are full of truth, love and peace, unlike any ever heard before or since. His message and actions stand in stark contrast to the false whims of those who speak of peace compelled by force and maintained through cruelty and torment.

“What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6:16-18) This is the reality of the Congregation of Believers on earth, God’s presence is our joy and strength. Children of God know that if they treated our Lord Yeshua with contempt we should not expect less, still, His blessings, comfort, presence, strength and power are sufficient to bring us through to Glory in His presence.
