Beyond Time and Space

The hierarchy of Heaven is greater than earth, God is Spirit and above all. There are heavenly beings, such as the elders, the four living beings, the angels, cherubim, seraphim, and others, such as Melchizedek. “…First, the name Melchizedek means “king of righteousness”; then also, “king of Salem” means “king of peace.” Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever.” (Hebrews 7:2-3) The Universe including earth and all it’s inhabitants are made of dust and water, dust being atoms configured into elements, configured into molecules separated by space on each atomic, molecular and cellular level. Living beings have a soul, animals of a type and mankind of another. Humans are made in Gods image, perhaps reflecting a triune being comprised of body, soul, and spirit. The Soul/Spirit within each human is eternal and returns to God after the body dies. The soul is not flesh, but interrelated with flesh and spirit. There is a distinction as scripture says, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12) We can discuss various distinctions between these parts of a human, but separating them is death. In the same way Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one indivisible God over all. Yeshua told His disciples, “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?” (John 14:9)

We are in this tiny world set in the midst of a universe of stars, planets, moons, asteroids, gaseous clouds, comets, black holes and a variety of other physical creations. Even though we haven’t explored all this earths oceans, we pretend to know a lot, without the slightest knowledge of  spiritual realms or ourselves, but for God’s word. “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” (1 John 3:2)  God’s mystery, hidden until Messiah Yeshua came, was that God would dwell among men and women as He first designed us. (Rom. 16:25-26; Col. 1:26-27) Rather than live in a temple or walk among His creation, He chose to live inside them individually. “The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.” (1 John 3:24) In light of this, shouldn’t we keep a Kingdom perspective communing with God in our journey through time and space to our true home in His glorious presence.
