Holy Spirit Impartation

“If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” (Luke 11:13)

All Believers should agree we each need more Holy Spirit impartation. Have you asked for more of Him? Did you assume He dwells within and that is all we need? Scripture says, “For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.” (John 3:34) Did you assume He gives everyone all they ever need at once? Talking quantitatively doesn’t really make the most sense, but there are different measures. We are encouraged to be filled with the Spirit. (Eph. 5:18) What does that mean?

“…these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.” (1 Corinthians 2:10-13) “Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.”

(1 Corinthians 12:7) “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? Now eagerly desire the greater gifts….” (1 Corinthians 12:27-31) Do you desire more anointing? Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:25)

The people of God seek Him diligently. They want more of all He is, Love, Spirit, peace, freedom, a wellspring of life. Yeshua said, when I am lifted up, I will draw all people to myself. (John 12:32) He has been doing this and continues today. Even as more people are describing themselves as secular and non-religious, the Congregation of Believers are hungry, thirsty and desperate for more of His Spirit.
