The Hidden Kingdom

God’s Kingdom is hidden and not of this world. It is populated by children and those with faith of a child. It is real, not imaginary or fiction, though invisible it is in our midst.  Yeshua taught us much about God’s Kingdom in parables which believers would understand, but not the worldly.    He said it is like a tiny seed that grows into a large tree; like a little yeast working in sixty pounds of flour; like a treasure hidden in a field and when found, the man sold all he had to buy the field; a merchant looking for fine pearls who found one of great value sold all he had to buy it; like a fisherman’s net full of fish that are sorted with good fish in baskets and bad fish discarded. (Luke 13:18-21; Matt. 13:44-49)

The Kingdom of God is advancing, growing and unstoppable. The enemy attempts to stop it, but is frustrated. There is joy and peace in God’s Kingdom, it is everlasting. It is the realm of those who are poor in Spirit and are persecuted for righteousness. (Matt. 5:3,10) “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.”

(1 Cor. 4:20) Regarding God’s Kingdom, “…many are invited, but few are chosen.” (Matt. 22:2-14) “Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Cor. 6:9-11)

Worldly systems and men are opposed to God’s Kingdom, but are oblivious to it. They fight against it like batting the air. The Kingdom is filled by those who have received grace and forgive their brother or sister from their heart and are born again. (Matt. 18:23-35; John 3:3) The Kingdom is growing to produce a harvest for God. (Mark 4:37-29) “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:13-14)
