Our Savior Reigns

The Lord knew the heart, intents and thoughts of everyone He met. How did this influence His response to them? Did it allow Him to address their deepest need and longing? To the sick, infirmed and hurting He was able to bring healing; to those who were sufficient in themselves He could only warn, but to those who were waiting and seeking the Messiah He gave their hearts desire.

I was reading Daniel, who prayed for the nation of Israel in captivity. The Lord gave him visions of the end times, revealed Himself and explained the visions. No exact mention of America is included. We tend to think we are most important, but we are young, two hundred years is nothing in history. God created America for His glory and if it is destroyed that too will be for His glory. American is very proud, even among the Congregation of Believers. God has given us blessings upon blessings, but we are turning away, yet He still sends revival. As long as we live there is opportunity to repent – return to Him and live. God humbles His people, but does not reject them forever. His purposes will be accomplished, His favor still rest on Israel. His promise to Abraham has not changed, “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:3)

Look to God, His word and Messiah Yeshua who has made Him known. Our hope is found in Him. The world is passing away; wicked men arise touting foolish and heretical things. The righteous are not to be shaken or distracted by the figment of the wicked, nor have any part in their wicked deeds. Today is still the day of salvation and His grace is still effective. Don’t look to famous people, but understand the Lord called the poor, weak, hurting, sick and outcasts to Himself and He remains the same today. The sacrifices of the righteous are trusting in the Lord. “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” (2 Corinthians 4:7) “There are many who say, “Who will show us any good?” Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us. You have put gladness in my heart, More than in the season that their grain and wine increased.”

(Psalms 4:6-7 NKJV) The Lord must remain our portion and treasure, there is nothing of worth in this world. Forgive us Lord and restore our complete devotion to you.
