Kingdom Riches

For Believers, Children of God, spiritual riches are available. Its nothing like worldly riches sitting in a bank account or  kept like jewels in a safe. Riches in God’s Kingdom cannot be stolen, lost or decay. They are valuable but given freely out of God’s love and grace. Moreover, they benefit us and others around us. For example, Hope is such a gift that overcomes disappointment and raises us above worldly shame that would weigh us down. Hope makes us secure in Messiah Yeshua so we are not tossed about in the world’s storms. (Rom. 5:5; Heb. 6:18-19)

Kingdom riches are Spiritual rather than physical, but they are effective in this life. Spiritual Peace from God is beyond any peace the world can offer. People all over the world seek peace through yoga, meditation, drugs, false religion, traveling to exotic scenic locations, and psychiatry without lasting effect and at great expense. Yeshua said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

(John 14:27) Heaven’s peace is far beyond anything the world can offer. God’s gift of peace has spiritual power to overcome our human weakness and fragility. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7) All the spiritual gifts of God are given to build us up in Yeshua and thwart the enemy’s attempts to destroy us and our family. Paul described heaven’s Truth, Righteousness, Gospel of Peace, Faith, Salvation and God’s Word as articles of a  soldiers armor. (Eph. 6:10-17) When we are fully equipped it’s no wonder the enemy flees as we resist him.

In this world believers are humble, not loud or boisterous, gracious, not self-promoting or pompous, generous, forgiving and respectful of others. These characteristics can distinguish us from the world, but our invisible Kingdom riches are eternal which sustain us in our pilgrimage toward Yeshua our Lord, friend, older brother, King, champion and love. It is to Him that we focus all our attention and affection and desire. Everything He has given, even the abundant life, we offer back to Him and follow His example in sacrifice, submission, service and pure devotion to God Almighty in who’s presence we seek to reside eternally.
